Creative Services is an initiative in the Office of Strategic Communications to expand the university’s creative capacity by partnering with offices and departments across campus to produce custom video content.  We bring the benefit of editorial consistency and institutional knowledge at lower costs. FAQs

How long does it take to make a video?
There are many factors that contribute to the strategic planning and production of your video. Consider things like interviewee availability, videographer schedules and leaving plenty of time for revisions. One thing to keep in mind is that you want to capture campus when it's at its best (April-October). If you're not quite ready to fill out a project request but know that a video is coming up, feel free to reach out to us at creativeservices@georgetown.edu. 

What are my responsibilities during the production process? 
We want to keep you closely involved during the process to ensure your needs are being met. At a minimum, we will ask you to liaison with interviewees and provide critical feedback during storyboarding and editing. If you would like to be more closely involved, there are opportunities for creative collaboration during production.

Is there a cost associated with Creative Services products? 
Creative Services is committed to charging less than market rate. We are happy to work with any budget. 

What is the benefit of working with Creative Services? 
The Creative Services team grants you access to experts in communications and strategy development, as well as video production. They work with the Georgetown brand and all of your key audiences on a daily basis and can use that expertise to shape your video product. 

When should I engage Creative Services in my project?
ASAP. We want to be involved from the first conversations. Let us help you plan your best video. It's never too early to bring your ideas to Creative Services.

What are the steps to working with Creative Services?
When  you decide that you want to make a video, the first step is to fill out a video project request (found at the bottom of this site). The request form will ask you for specific information about your goals, audience and messaging. The more information you can give us, the better. We'll be in touch following your submission to schedule a meeting to discuss next steps. Before we get rolling on production, we'll present you with a proposal outlining the shooting schedule and cost so that you know exactly what to expect.
